Mumps is an acute infectious disease caused by a Virus -Para Myxo viruses .Generally Viral infections causes changes in the host cell cytolysis and destructions of the cells . The patient suffer from fever and chill , sometimes Epistaxis ,Stiffness of neck and pain in Parotids regions with swelling and increased salivation - cannot take food in more cases .At about one week, the glands swelling and fever subsides . The incubation periods is average of 15-20 days .
